  1. I am an 11 yr old competitive swimmer, my 50 free(front crawl) time is 27:18(seconds) you need to try to break 30 seconds in a 50 free!

  2. I had to acclimatize to 5 degree Celsius water in less than a minute and swim a small lake (50m ish) to get a scouts badge. It was definitely worth it.

  5. You should work more on your stroke first because 2 weeks isn't enough for doing a fast mile because the less time less time in water. Believe me I know

    A Canadian lake in March is cold as hell… You can't make a sound, the water is so cold; all you can do is try to breath.

  13. I remember swimming in a river in my home country with my cousins last summer, the trick is to stay in the river for 10-15 mins and then you begin to get used to the temperature which makes the whole thing a lot easier
